The Lakeview Tudor: A Gatehouse whole home project featured in the 2022 Utah Valley Parade of Homes. Our Gatehouse designers came into this project from the beginning stages of the home building process about 9 months ahead of completion and showcasing during the annual award winning Utah Valley Parade of Homes in June 2022. Our design team guided and consulted regularly with the home owners, who are also the home builder and general contractor of this home. Our team consulted and coordinated many of the final layers including overall design concepts, color palette, selecting interior and exterior paint colors, and of course the custom furniture design, space planning and styling.
They also helped select and oversee other final details such as the window treatments by @uptowndrapes, statement lighting throughout the home and unique bathroom mirrors (all available through Gatehouse), and many other finish specification layers for the home.
This home is such a beautiful combination of European Tudor, Modern, Coastal and Traditional styles mixed together with ease resulting
in a timeless and classic home that has the qualities of inviting and comfortable spaces throughout every level.
Mixing metals and woods executed throughout this home brings interest and warmth to every room.
The rugs in this home are an important base layer and many were selected first as a starting point of the design and style for each space.
-The rugs selections gave design directives such as color palettes, design style and overall mood of each room or space. The rugs in this home are a variety of textures and styles which bring color, pattern, texture, warmth and stylistic direction and tie together the moments of traditional and modern style that are seamlessly blended in each space.
-Statement Lighting is the jewelry of each space. Oversized and dramatic pendants over the kitchen island bring a pretty detail to the kitchen. This grand chandelier gives large scale to a smaller space while its minimal lines do not block the view of the backyard and pool. Bathroom and hallway lighting create a path to other parts of the home and along with fabulous unique mirrors and sconces each bathroom takes on a personality of its own. Accessories such as lamps and art work are important details to bring each room life, personality, color and a finished, polished and lived in feel. All of these layers of detail from beautiful and comfortable upholstered furniture, wood accent pieces, and styling of accessories create a more dramatic and interesting impact to each room.
